In its Spring 2026 Update, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) emphasized that Saints Cosmas and Damian Health Sciences College is not a “college” (as ACPE defines that term) nor does Saints Cosmas and Damian confer “degrees.” The Alert apparently responded to questions or concerns arising from reports and communications regarding the College’s credential-equivalency activities.

Saints Cosmas and Damian does not claim ACPE accreditation, does not provide entry-level pharmacist training, and does not suggest a substitute for an accredited degree required for licensure.

Saint Cosmas and Damian’s equivalency programs are limited to previously-licensed health care professionals whose prior education, training, and licensure are individually reviewed. The credentials verifications process is intended to acknowledge existing quality standards — not circumvent them.

Saints Cosmas and Damian recognizes that organizations such as the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) appropriately seek to prevent public confusion regarding accreditation, licensure, and professional qualifications. Likewise, Saints Cosmas and Damian supports transparency and accurate representation of credentials to patients, employers, regulators, and international institutions.
